April 2024

01.  Introduction.  Please read this privacy policy (the “Policy”) describing how the Cat Facilitator LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit our website at www.catfacilitator.com (“Website”) or purchase cat consulting services (the “Services”) or otherwise communicate with us.  In this Privacy Policy, “you” and “yours” refer to you as the visitor, user, or customer.

02.  Accepting Policy.  By using our Website, you agree to this Policy.  If you do not agree, your choice is to discontinue using our Website and/or Services.

03.  Type of Information Collected.

The data or information collected or that you provide to us will be used for the limited purpose of providing you with a consultation to facilitate the best relationship and cohabitation with your cat.

Data Collected by Website Host & Payment Processor (collectively, the “vendors”).
To support our Website and Services, our vendors collect internet protocol (IP) addresses; device and browser information; and e-mail addresses.  They may also use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page.  To do this, cookies and other similar technologies are used (“Cookies”).

Personal Information Collected by Us.
We also collect personally identifiable information (e.g., name, email) when you contact us through the Website or externally.  The payment processing may also result in sharing personal information with us (e.g., name, email) to inform us that Services have been purchased and payment completed.  If you provide us with feedback about the Website and/or your customer experience, you may decide to include personally identifiable information (e.g., name, email, address).

This Policy does not apply to information collected by us outside of the Website about you or by any other means or third parties.

04.  How We Collect Information.  We try to collect the least amount of personal information about you.  Our Website provides a contact form to reach us.  The contact form will ask for a limited amount of personal information (e.g., name, email).  When you pay for a Service, the purchase is supported by a third-party payment processor.  The purchase will generate a payment notification to us.  This payment notification may include some personal information about you (e.g., name).  While providing Services, you may share with us records, emails, or other communications that may include personal information.

05.  How We Store, Use, Share, and Disclose Your Personal Information.  Our Website is hosted on the Wix.com platform, which allows us to offer our Services to you.  Your data may be stored through Wix’s data storage, databases, and the general Wix.com applications.  Wix stores your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  Stripe is our direct payment processor and adheres to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort by brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.  PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by participating providers.
We do not sell or market your personal information.  We use your personal information to communicate with you about the Services you are interested in, to carry out our obligations to you, to enforce our rights from our Service agreement with you, and in any other way we may describe when you provide the information to us.

We may have to disclose your personal information to comply with a court order, law, or legal process, including responding to any government or regulatory request.
06.  How We Communicate with You.  We may contact you using the contact information you provide to us (e.g., email) to communicate with you about our Services, to enforce our Agreement, or for any other purpose that we describe to you.

07. How We Use Cookies and Other Tracking Technology.  For specific information about the Wix.com Cookies that are used to power our Website, see Cookie Policy | Wix.com and Cookies and Your Wix Site | Help Center | Wix.com.  Our Website sends Cookies to your web browser, if your browser’s preferences allow it, to collect digital data when you use our Website.  Cookie settings can be controlled in your internet browser to reject some forms of cookies.  If you use our Website without changing your cookie settings, you are indicating your consent to receive all Cookies from our Website.  If you do not allow Cookies, some features and functionality of our Website may not operate as expected.

We may use Cookies to improve our Website by running analytics to better understand user interaction with the Website so that we may better administer, improve, and optimize the Website.  We may also permit third parties and service providers to use Cookies on our Website to better tailor services.

08.  How to Withdraw Your Consent.  If you do not want us to collect or process your data anymore, you must stop using our Website and, if you purchased a Service from us, you must also send us an email at info@catfaciliator.com instructing us of your desire to withdraw your consent.  Our third-party payment processor is independent from us and has its own privacy policy.

09.  How We Update Our Privacy Policy.  We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time without notice to you.  Changes take effect immediately upon posting on the Website.

10.  Minors.  The Services are not intended for or directed to anyone under the age of 18.
11.  Security and Retention of Your Information.  No security measures are 100% perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee “perfect security.”  Also, any information you send us may not be secure while in transit.  We recommend that you not use unsecured channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information to us.
How long we retain your personal information depends on different factors, such as whether we need the information to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce other applicable contracts and policies.

12.  Your State Rights, As Applicable.  Some states provide their residents with legal rights to obtain the following information from us: confirmation of whether we process their personal information; request to access and deletion of certain personal information; correction of inaccuracies in personal information; Opting-out of personal data processing; and either limiting or requiring consent to process sensitive personal information.
13.  International Users.  Wix.com hosts our Website on an online platform that allows us to offer our Services to you.  Wix has servers all over the world, including Europe and the United States, as well as backup servers in multiple locations.  From Wix, it is our understanding that if the processing of your data involves the transfer of such data outside of the EEA and European data protection applies to the transfer of such data, these transfers will be conducted in compliance with all the applicable data protection regulations.  Refer to www.wix.com/about/privacy at section 5 for more information.  Our direct payment provider is Stripe.  You may refer to their international user's data transfer policy at Privacy Policy (stripe.com) at section 6.
